Cajun Spice Blend


This classic southern spice blend can elevate any chicken or seafood dish. It’s got huge flavor but fairly mild on the heat. Add a bit more cayenne and you can fix that problem 😉 If you’re looking for something with a bit more aromatics, try it’s cousin – Blackened Seasoning.

  • 3 Tbsp Paprika - regular/sweet
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp Onion powder
  • 1/2 Tbsp freshly ground black pepper - medium grind
  • 2 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp Thyme - dried


  • Shake and store in airtight container.


You can easily adjust the heat with the cayenne. This is a base recipe so feel free to add any other flavor profiles you enjoy. Also note, there is no salt in this recipe. I prefer to control the salt level separately.
