‘Dubbya T’ BBQ Rub

This is my #1 rub for ribs and chicken wings and works great on pulled pork and burnt ends too. When I lived down south, people used to call me by my first two initials – WT – and of course with the southern drawl, it comes out as “Dubbya T’. This was the first BBQ rub I developed so might as well name it after myself, right?

Dubbya T BBQ Rub

The workhorse rub that adds magic to pork and chicken.

Ingredients
 

  • 1/2 cup Light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Smoked paprika
  • 1/4 cup Spanish paprika
  • 2 tbsp Black pepper - medium grind
  • 2 tbsp Kosher salt - Diamond Crystal
  • 1 tbsp Chili powder
  • 1 tbsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Cayenne powder
  • 1 tsp Thyme
  • 1 tsp Mustard powder

Instructions

  • Shake well and store in airtight container.
